Green Flag 2006/2007

This year we are delighted to be applying for our fourth Green Flag! Our theme is “WATER” and we have designed many posters and invented poems about saving water. The winner of the competition is Aoife Lawlor who wrote this fantastic poem. Well done Aoife! Aoife also invented our water character for this year “the water lily” which will remind us not to waste any precious water…

Water Lily

My name is Water Lily,

And I’m here for you

Saving water is what I do.

Saving water is my thing

If you need me

Just give me a ring.

Don’t waste water

Please be good

Please save water

You know you should

No dripping taps

Take showers, not baths

Do not be a water brat!

Don’t spill water

Down the drain

Do us all a favour and use your brain!
